St. Joan of Arc Catholic School presented its annual Living Nativity Sunday in preparation for the upcoming Christmas season.

Prophets who told of Jesus’ arrival are played by Brayden Bertucci, Chase Hotard and Briggs Anderson.

Students and faculty members practiced and prepared for the reenactment for a couple of weeks under the leadership of Sr. Pier Carla Barone, who has been working on the project each year since she started at the school more than ten years ago.

Generous donors made the addition of live animals possible this year. Those who attended were given the opportunity to pet and hold the goats, sheep, pigs and donkey that were present.

The animals even added their sounds during the Christmas story, making it even more special, school leaders said.

To conclude the night, “Happy Birthday” was sung to Jesus and guests enjoyed cupcakes, cake and cookies
