LAPLACE — Golden Oaks, a group of St. Joan of Arc Church parishioners over 50 years of age, holds regular meetings and outings.
At a recent outing, members brought items from their childhood to see if St. Joan of Arc Catholic School students had ever seen or used them in their modern lives.
After the fifth grade students guessed what they thought the items were, the real names were revealed and explanations of what each item was and how it was used were shared.
The students were invited to get a close-up look at the items and even try using some of them.
