LAPLACE — The public is invited to the region’s annual Veterans Day Celebration and Parade, which gets started at 10 a.m. Friday in St. John the Baptist Parish.

The parade departs at 10 a.m. from the Home Depot parking lot in LaPlace and heads west on Airline Highway to conclude at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Reserve.

The festivities, led by St. John the Baptist Parish Young Marines, continue at 11 a.m. with a Veterans celebration program, live band and refreshments. Call 504-628-0418 for more information.
