Place Dubourg celebrates anniversary

LAPLACE — Several St. John officers enjoyed an Oct. 7 visit on to Place Dubourg to celebrate with residents the 50th anniversary of Christopher Homes, a nonprofit organization that manages the LaPlace apartment complex.
Christopher Homes, operated by the Archdiocese of New Orleans, provides affordable housing for elderly and disabled people.
Chief Steve Guidry, Lt. Craig Gros, Sgt. Christie Chauvin, Det. Mike Dean, Det. Michael Shard, Lt. Joe Rosa, and Det. Joshua Masters helped serve food for the celebration and enjoyed chatting with residents.
