Fun, fitness take priority for SJA

LAPLACE — St. Joan of Arc Catholic School recently held its annual Fun and Fitness Day.
Seventh grade students took the lead as they guided preK through sixth grade classes through events throughout the day, with the assistance of the teachers.
Parents of the seventh grade students served food, sold concessions and helped with the organization.
Traditional competitions like the relay race, sack race, standing broad jump and 50-yard dash are always a hit; however, new events like “Don’t Spill the Water Relay” and “Balloon Pop Team Relay” were very popular this year.
