LAPLACE — The newest group of “Ambassadors” was recently introduced by the River Region Chamber of Commerce.
They are led by Constance Woods of L’OBSERVATEUR, Wayne Vicknair of AMP, Ryan LeBlanc of LeBlanc Wealth Management and Laurie Thomasee of Lofton Staffing and Security.
An Ambassador serves as the face of the Chamber and is a mentor to new members during the first year of membership. Candidates for Ambassador are energetic, reliable, motivated professionals/owners of member companies.
They are outgoing and project a positive image for the company they represent, as well as for the Chamber.
The newest Ambassadors have a lot to celebrate as the River Region Chamber of Commerce was recently named 2016 Mid-Size Chamber of the Year at the Louisiana Chamber Association Annual State Conference, chosen by an out-of-state panel of chamber executives.
Louisiana Chamber Association President April Wehrs said Louisiana has more than 70 local chambers of commerce representing tens of thousands of businesses and their employers.
“These chambers are highlighted through their excellence in organizational management, professional development and community advocacy,” Wehrs said. “All three components are necessary for the chamber’s ultimate role of business development and advocacy.”
