George Lenard Kimble Sr.

George Lenard Kimble Sr. passed away peacefully into eternal rest with his family by his side on Oct. 1, 2016.
George was called Home too soon at the age 65. He was a native of Rosa and a resident of LaPlace.
George loved cooking and shared his recipes with everyone. He liked camping in the fall and spending all the time he could with his grandchildren.
He was a “couch coach” for the LSU and Saints football teams.
He was a parishioner of St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace.
George was the beloved husband of Cynthia Cahal Kimble for 43 glorious years.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Adele Chelette Kimble and Herman “Grits” Kimble of Rosa.
He was survived by his brother Lawrence James Kimble (Jane) of Prairieville.
He was a devoted father to three wonderful children: George Kimble Jr. (Caroline) of Prairieville, Douglas Kimble (Angie) of LaPlace and Cynthia Kimble Bordelon (Andrew) of Reserve.
As a grandfather to six, his little “pumpkin doodles” are Kaitlin, Maci, Ashton, Gavin, Jackson and Luke.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the funeral mass at St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace on Friday, Oct. 7 at noon.
