LAPLACE — The River Region Arts & Humanities Council or “RRAHC,” representing St. Charles, St. John the Baptist and St. James Parishes has 2017 grants available.

The grants can benefit schools, theater groups, libraries, art guilds and other non-profit organizations interested in presenting arts programs or humanities projects, as well as for individuals who are pursuing developmental activities in the area of the arts and humanities.

2017 grants will not exceed $1,000 per application, and applications are available at rrahc.org, by contacting RRAHC or by calling 2017 Grant Committee member Harold Flynn Jr. at 985-651-9090.

2017 Grants must be post marked by Oct. 28 and received by the 2017 Grants Committee by Nov. 4. Grants will be announced in mid-December and recipients will receive their awards during a reception at RRAHC office in LaPlace during January’s 2017 RRAHC Annual Meeting of the membership. Grant recipients or an organization representative must be present to accept the grant.

Last year’s Grant Committee presented 32 grants or sponsorships, totaling approximately $25,771.
