Douglas James Brock Sr. passed away on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at the age of 75.

He was born in New Orleans and was a resident of LaPlace.
Doug was the owner and operator of Doug’s Auto Repair and was an antique custom car builder who loved to attend car shows and rod runs with his family and friends.
He was the beloved husband of the late Joan Mabile Brock; loving father of Stephanie B. Sanchez (Bernard), Rickey P. Brock, Stacey B. Bates (Jesse) and the late Douglas “Noot” Brock Jr.; grandfather of Bernard Sanchez Jr., Joannie Sanchez, Desten Brock, Brock Sardenga and Ethan Sardenga; son of the late Murphy and Beatrice Roussel Brock; and brother of Murphy Brock Jr., Gilbert Brock, Gary Brock, Brenda Becnel and the late Donald and Melvin Brock.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Millet Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, Sept. 16 from 9 to 11 a.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church, 1550 Highway 44 in Reserve. Interment is in St. Peter Cemetery.
