RESERVE — The Burl Family is celebrating their 2016 family reunion Sept. 2-4 in Reserve with a theme of “Remembering the Past. Embracing the Present. Planting seeds for the Future.”

The weekend festivities include an All-White Meet & Greet Extravaganza, a Family Picnic and Social and Church fellowship followed by an afternoon brunch. More than 400 confirmed guests are traveling in from all over the United States, and many are looking forward to this year’s gathering,

Since the planning began in January, the family has encountered the passing of four loved ones: Sherman Perkins Jr., Vernon Alexis, Johnny Daigre and Albert “Red Bill” Burl Sr.
