- The St. John Business Association recognized St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Sgt. Christy Chauvin. center, as the Officer of the Month for August. Chauvin was chosen for outstanding video surveillance work performed during a homicide investigation. She was honored at the association’s meeting Aug. 10 at the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Headquarters in LaPlace.
