LAPLACE — Larry and Remona Pack of LaPlace recently partnered with Advanced America in LaPlace to give out school supplies, school resources and other back-to-school goods.

Refreshments were distributed, and more than 100 children came out and visited the back-to-school drive.

Some were lucky winners, who received a school backpack or a Crayola school supply kit.

Prekindergarten mats were given to all the students who attended.

This is the second event Larry R. Pack Enterprises and Pack 4 non-profit organization has hosted for community children to receive free supplies and treats.

In December, the couple distributed toys to children and raffled off bicycles to the lucky winners.

Akeem Burl, cousin of Remona Gardner, said it is a blessing that individuals like Larry and Remona are blessed enough to give back

“God definitely has a plan for them and will surely order their steps,” he said.

“There are so many in the community that choose to give back. I am thankful enough to always volunteer my time to helping them in any way possible.”
