Aug. 3, 1989: Several St. John the Baptist Parish Junior Deputies took a field trip to Rivertown USA in Kenner to participate in activities and community service projects. The organization was coordinated by Deputy Greg “Za” Maurin.

Aug. 3, 1972: Miss Deborah Duhe’s reign as St. John the Baptist Parish Sugar Queen ended Aug. 7, when she crowned the new parish sugar queen selected at the 22nd annual sugar cane festival in Reserve. The event was held at St. Peter School.
