July 15, 1976: Checking out two 75 mm. anti-tank shells, discovered by children under an unoccupied house in Reserve, is Lt. Burt Ory of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office. Ory said the two corroded shells, of World War II vintage, were evidently war souvenirs, but because the power inside was still dry, were potentially hazardous.
