Keller: All lives matter: Our decisions determine our destiny

Black lives matter. I agree.
White lives matter. I agree.
Blue lives matter. I agree.
All lives matter. I agree, but the Federal government, from President Obama on down, doesn’t agree.
After last week, with the killing of two black men by white policemen and then five innocent white police officers killed in Dallas, America’s true colors were shown for the world to see and it wasn’t a pretty picture.
Regardless what the president and some leaders say, racial tension in America is worse than any time in my life.
The so-called peaceful rallies in America demonstrated the hatred and rebellious spirit that has taken over America.
Many of our spiritual leaders and public officials are calling for prayer meetings to ask God to heal our land.
The fact is they don’t know what has caused the problem and don’t have any idea of a solution.
I believe that because of the Supreme Court’s decision in 1973, which legalized abortion, we have invited a spirit of murder to invade our once-great nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all, except for the innocent, defenseless human beings that are murdered in the supposed safety of their mother’s womb.
Many of our leaders, both political and spiritual, take an oath with their hand on the Bible and don’t understand what God’s Word says.
“I knew you before you were in your mother’s womb.” Jeremiah 1:5
As a country, we have slowly drifted from worshipping God. The two main causes of getting caught up in the current of drifting are immorality and liberalism.
We have become a passive people without any convictions. Where will we be in the next 20 years?
As Christians, we are responsible to stop the drift.
The only way to stop the drift is to be anchored with the Bible, the Word of God.
God’s Word gives us the answer to solving the condition in which we find ourselves.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
The bottom line is — God is leaving it all up to us. Our decisions will determine our destiny.
May God Bless America!
