RESERVE — South Central Louisiana Technical College’ WorkReady U Instructors and Coordinators William McGee and Lei Lani Michel kicked off the Summer with a two-week Computer Basics class.

The class was free and open to the public.

Nine people downsized, retired, laid off or those just looking to enhance their skills completed the class.

Topics included email, Internet, word processing and job searching. Students received a Certificate of Completion and took away valuable information for a competitive edge in the workforce.

SCL Technical College is registering now for the Fall semester. Classes start Aug. 22.
