DOTD closing River Road between Central Avenue and La. 54

LAPLACE — The Department of Transportation and Development is closing Louisiana 44 (River Road) between Louisiana 53 (Central Avenue) and Louisiana 54 to through traffic from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday due to work being performed at a plant site.
Motorists should use an alternate route.
DETOUR INFO:
Westbound motorists should take Louisiana 53 (Central Avenue) to U.S. 61 (Airline Highway), then U.S. 61 (Airline Highway) to Louisiana 54 to re-intersect with Louisiana 44.
Eastbound motorists should take Louisiana 54 to U.S. 61 (Airline Highway), then U.S. 61 (Airline Highway) to Louisiana 53 (Central Avenue) to re-intersect with Louisiana 44.
