SCC announces ‘16-17 Eucharistic ministers

LAPLACE — Fourteen St. Charles Catholic High School students have completed the basic formation session of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
They are now delegated to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. Charles Catholic to minister the Body and Blood of Christ prayerfully and reverently to our sisters and brothers in faith.
This delegation extends through the 2016-17 school term.
The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at SCC include Kaitlyn Boudreaux, Marie Bourgeois, Mallory Brignac, Madison Cochran, Emily Eymard, Kayla Johnson, Katie Haydel, Wesley Melancon, Shea Poche, Alexis Porche, Lilly Smith, Shelbi St. Pierre, Matthew Templet and Mallory Wolfe.
Wesley Melancon will serve as the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion every Friday evening in the Fall during the weekly football team Mass.
During the End-of-the-Year School Mass 14 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion were commissioned for Masses at SCC, as well as at their home church parishes.
