The St. Charles Parish Schools Staff Achievement Award Winners were recently announced at a banquet held at The River Room.

The banquet recognized nine staff members who are the keys to the district’s success; who do an outstanding job in supporting students, motivating students or colleagues; and demonstrating commitment, dedication and excellence.

Fifty-one nominations were submitted by staff members, parents, students and community members.

Nominees were required to have been employed by the St. Charles Parish Public School System for a minimum of three years, and selections were made by a committee of district employees.

2015-2016 Staff Achievement Award Winners:

Child Nutrition Services Employee of the Year: Marschell Hill, Luling Elementary School

Physical Plant Services Employee of the Year: Maxine Farrell, Professional Learning Center

Professional/Technical Employee of the Year: Bonnie Bourg, Central Office

School Administrative Support Employee of the Year: Stacy Neighbors, Ethel Schoeffner Elementary School

School Support Employee of the Year: Helen Cannon, R.K. Smith Middle School

Secretarial/Clerical Employee of the Year: Barbara Taylor, Norco Elementary School

Specialist Educator Employee of the Year: Elaine Fitzgerald, Hahnville High School

Substitute Staff Employee of the Year: Carla Hampton, St. Rose Elementary School

Transportation Employee of the Year: Johnnie Winstead, Transportation Department
