Sports Briefs: Riverlands Offers swim camp

Riverlands Country Club and the Stingrays Swim Team will host a swim camp from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 18-21 for children ages 4-12.

Children will learn swimming techniques from the 15- to 18-year-old Stingray swimmers, play pool games and soak up the summertime fun while being supervised by camp counselors and certified lifeguards.

Campers receive a camp T-shirt. A snack and a balanced lunch is provided each day. Campers are asked to come in their swim suits with a labeled water bottle, towel and sunscreen.

The cost is $85 per child. All proceeds benefit the Stingrays Swim Team. To register contact Lindsey Vicknair at riverlandsswim@gmail.com.

Future Stars volleyball camp May 26-28

East St. John will hold its Future Stars volleyball camp May 26-28 in the school gym. Students in third through seventh grades will attend morning sessions from 7:30 to 11 a.m.

Students in eighth through 12th grades will attend afternoon sessions from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 26 and from noon to 3:30 p.m. May 27 and 28.

Instruction will be given by LaPlace native and current University of New Orleans volleyball coach Millicent Van Norden and ESJH coach Chelsey Lucas-Nicholas. The cost is $80 per session.

baseball camp nears

Lutcher High School will hold a baseball camp for boys ages 5 and up from 9 a.m. to noon May 31-June 2 at the Lutcher Baseball Field.

Participants may register by texting or calling 225-206-4085. The first 50 boys to register by calling or texting will receive a camp T-shirt. The cost is $25 per day.
