Warren Hoover Cordes Jr., 85, died early Monday morning, May 16, 2016 at Ochsner Hospital in Kenner.

He was born Aug. 11, 1930, in New Orleans and was the beloved son of the late Warren Hoover Cordes Sr. and Laura Esuman. He was a 33-year resident of LaPlace.

Cordes was husband to the late Elizabeth Liebel Cordes for 56 years, and Warren and Elizabeth are survived by Mary and Son-in-law Alan Mince Sr., Warren and daughter-in-law Vicki Cordes and Lisa Adams.

Cordes leaves behind a legacy that includes nine grandchildren: Alan Mince Jr., Trinity Mince Sr., Brian Mince Sr., Jennifer Marrone, Jimmy Adams III, Warren Cordes, Jessica Lasiter, Courtney Cordes and the late Jesse Adams; one adopted grandson, Patrick O’Donnel Jr.; and 24 great grandchildren: Ashley Mince, Alan Mince III, Trinity Mince Jr., Christian Lemoine, Aaron Mince, Amanda Mince, Madison Lasiter, Kaden Skipps, Cole Marrone, Jimmy Adams IV, Madden Marrone, Cameron Lasiter, Aubrey O’Donnel, Aubrey Cordes, Phoenix Adams, Alexa Adams, Xander Mince, Vayda Marrone, Stella Cordes, Mikayla Lasiter, Joshua Lasiter Jr, Brinley Marrone, and the late Brian Mince Jr. and Mia Marrone.
Cordes will always be remembered as a loving husband, great provider and a friend to everyone he met. “I’m coming, Elizabeth!”
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.

Services are at L.A. Muhleisen and Son, 2607 Williams Blvd. in Kenner on Monday, May 23 at noon.

Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
