Spring fair includes dedication to Julia Luna

LAPLACE — St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish recently held its annual spring fair, which included a special dedication to Julia Luna.
Many members of Froggy’s Mission are pictured with Julia Luna’s parents as they prepare to walk or run in Julia’s memory.
Families from around the area enjoyed live entertainment, fun games, lively rides and delicious food.
Of course, lots of refreshing drink options were available. Organizers said the weather was beautiful and the crowd was fabulous.
This year’s SJA Fun Run was dedicated to Julia Luna, who passed away last summer. She would have been in sixth grade at SJA this school year.
A group named “Froggy’s Mission” is continuing Julia’s work of helping find homes for animals at the local shelter. To honor her mission, dogs that are available for adoption at the St. John Animal Shelter were participants in the run.
