Hands-on teaching is especially important in South Central Louisiana Technical College’s Industrial Instrumentation Technology Program. The program prepares students to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair measuring and control instruments and peripherals. Small class size is important. Eight students are enrolled in Instructor Kenneth Cambre’s Semi-Conductors and Transistors class. They are Josh Ladner, Steven Duhe, Jacob Kruebbe, Alex Brown, Luke Ingraffia, Austin Jacob, Jude Theriot and Kevin Bossier. Four are pictured competing to build an AM/FM transistor radio. Students competing are Ladner, Duhe, Kruebbe and Bossier. Cambre is seated in the middle.
