The students learned about the benefits of physical activity and were exposed to the effects of childhood illnesses on those children and their families.

To help children hospitalized at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, the students planned and facilitated a walkathon.

They presented their plan to the complete student body and encouraged other students to participate in the event.

Their efforts were extremely successful as they raised more than $3,100 to donate to Children’s Hospital in the form of games, art supplies, craft items, books, gift cards and cash.
