News Feature: Duhe recognized as Deputy of the Month

- Faron ‘Slim’ Duhe was recognized as Deputy of the Month by the St. John Business Association during the group’s meeting April 13 at Petra’s in LaPlace. Duhe has been with St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office for 26 years. He also served the Garyville Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years. After serving as fire chief for 30 years, Duhe retired in 2014. Honoring Duhe are Craig Carmen of the St. John Business Association, Captain Kirt Tregre and Sheriff Mike Tregre.
