LAPLACE — Police said a Ponchatoula woman stole almost $14,000 from her LaPlace employer over a two-year stretch.
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said Renee Dibble, 55, of Ponchatoula sought help and admitted to Sheriff’s Office detectives she stole money from her employer to support her habit.
Detectives initiated an investigation that revealed Dibble was a manager at Poker Palace Casino in LaPlace, and, “over the course of the past two years stole $13,900 from the casino,” Tregre said.
Detectives arrested Dibble March 24 for theft over $1,500. She was released March 30 after posting a $15,000 bond.
Tregre said detectives notified the Kenner Police Department of Dibble’s admitted thefts from a Kenner casino.
