Hilary J. Cambre Sr. passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the age of 80.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Garyville. He served in the U. S. Army and later retired from Kaiser Aluminum.

Cambre was the beloved father of Darnell Cambre Alboudoor, Hilary J. Cambre II and the late Darlene Cambre Sauerwin; grandfather of Olivia Normand, Bethany Alboudoor and the late Joshua Cambre; son of the late Henry J. Cambre and Alice Vicknair Cambre; and brother of Ramona Cambre Madere (husband, the late Harold).

He is also survived by his former wife and friend, Marlene Tregre.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 176 Anthony Monica St. in Garyville on Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m.

Visitation will begin in church at 9 a.m. Interment is in St. Peter Cemetery.
