LUTCHER — St. James Parish Hospital will be hosting its annual $5 chem and lipid profile screenings from May 18 to May 20.

The three-day screening event will be held in the hospital and is open to the community.

Chem and lipid profile screenings will be offered from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants can register in the main hospital lobby. Payments of $5 by cash or check will be collected during registration.

The screenings test glucose, sodium, potassium, liver function, cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL and more. Fasting for 12 hours before the screenings is recommended for best results.
