Local actors wanted for Wizard of Oz auditions

RESERVE — St. John Theatre officials are presenting Broadway and cinema classic The Wizard of Oz as their 2016 summer musical.

Auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. nightly April 11-14 at the theater on River Road in Reserve.

Veteran director Mike Brooks is taking the reins for this summer’s musical.

Those interested in performing between the ages of 6 and 60 are encouraged to audition for the show. Families are also encouraged to audition.

Those who audition will be taught a song from the show.

All parts are open, and backstage crew and staff positions are available.

Show dates are July 15-17 and July 20-23.

Theater organizers are asking potential cast members and show attendees to journey with them to the Emerald City in the Land of Oz this summer and learn what community theater is all about.
