Ascension of Our Lord middle school students in Emily Gurdian’s social studies classes participated in a mock Louisiana primary as part of an ongoing lesson on the presidential election process.

Students executed all rolls of the voting process, including sign in, working the polls and choosing their candidate.
The results: middle school students voted for Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Marco Rubio.
