HAHNVILLE — The St. Charles Parish Procurement Office is hosting an auction online at publicsurplus.com.

“This is the first time that our auction is taking place completely online,” Procurement Agent Jill Schmill said. “Rather than selling all of the surplus items at one event, it allows us to sell them throughout the year.”

Under the “Browse Auctions within Area” section, residents can find the St. Charles Parish President’s Office’s listing. Items up for auction will be added to the listing as they become available.

All items are being sold as-is and where-is, and no warranty is given as to the usefulness or merchantability of any item sold. There will be no refunds.

State law prohibits parish employees and members of employees’ immediate families from buying items at parish surplus auctions.

This includes an employee’s children, brothers, sisters, spouses of brothers and sisters, parent’s spouse and spouse’s parents.
