LaPlace native cheered for public defender work

Tony Tillman, who grew up in LaPlace and practices law in Leesville, was recently named the Public Defender Gideon Award Honoree for his work representing indigents for years.
The Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers presented Tillman with the honor at the 30th Annual Justice Albert Tate Jr. Awards Banquet in New Orleans.
The Association recognized individuals who are champions in criminal defense law. Tillman graduated from Leon Godchaux High School and LSU.
