St. James Relay for Life unwraps host of holiday events

LUTCHER — The St. James Parish Relay for Life has several holiday events planned in the upcoming weeks to raise money for the American Cancer Society and to celebrate those who have battled cancer.

The annual Holiday Survivor’s Social is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the North Vacherie Fire Station. Survivors are welcome to bring a guest, and attendees can bring a generic, wrapped $10 gift for a game. The Relay Leadership Team also invites parents and grandparents to sign their little ones up for “Letters from Santa.”

Contact a local Relay Team to get a form, fill it out with personalized information about your child and make a $5 donation. The second annual Love Lights a Tree has been scheduled at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 at the St. James Parish Welcome Center. Ornaments “in memory of” or “in honor of” can be dedication.
