RESERVE — Mikayla Meyer and Jenna Beber were recently crowned the new royalty of Riverside Academy.

The Miss and Teen Riverside pageants were held Sept. 20 in the school’s gymnasium.

“We decided to bring the pageant back after many years of not having a queen,” co-director Chrissy Cifuentes said. “This is a great opportunity for students to get involved and promote our school.”

Along with Cifuentes, Kerri Montz Roussel co-sponsored and was in charge of organizing events for the new queens.

Other contestants included teen first runner-up Chloe Trosclair and second runner-up Madison Dolive.

Miss contestant Carley Hoover was chosen first runner-up.

Chloe Trosclair was chosen Miss Congeniality for all the contestants, Madison Dolive was awarded the Photogenic award and Mikayla Meyer was given the Fashion award.

In addition to school events, the new queens will travel as ambassadors to various fairs and festivals throughout the area and promote Riverside Academy with their school pride.
