RESERVE — Two drug dealers robbed a man at gunpoint this week in Reserve, a robbery that may have occurred because the victim owed drug money.
“The victim told deputies that he did not know the perpetrators’ names, but he had purchased narcotics from them in the past and owed them money,” Tregre said. “The victim reported that a cell phone was stolen. The robbers then fled the area in a cream-colored Cadillac.”
St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said deputies began their investigation at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 100 block of East 23rd Street in Reserve following an armed robbery where no one was injured.
The 32-year-old complainant told deputies two men — one in a red-hooded sweatshirt and armed with a pistol, the other in a black-hooded sweatshirt and armed with a screwdriver — robbed him.
