LAPLACE — St. Joan of Arc Catholic School recognizes students who show Christian virtue and perform actions worthy of recognition.

These students receive “Viking Virtue” cards for such acts. They then place their cards into one of the three Viking Virtue boxes on campus. Each week Principal Jeffrey Montz pulls three cards from one of the boxes, alternating boxes each week.

The three students whose names are pulled receive certificates and attend a lunch with Montz in the teachers’ lounge, and they each get to invite a friend to join them.

Their parents receive a phone call informing them of the good things their children have been doing at school.

The Viking Virtue winners for September were Brandon Kragle, Elise Vicknair, Chavoni Smith, Dre’dain Johnson, Colton Tribe, Bryce Pregeant, Ava White, Chavez Smith, Joshua Jensen, Briggs Anderson, Kennedi Miller and Emma Dooley.
