RACELAND — A St. Charles Parish woman was killed this morning in a violent wreck that saw her vehicle flip end over end, authorities said.

Trooper Evan Harrell of Louisiana State Police Troop C said Agnes Rounds, 32, of Paradis died this morning at Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital from injuries sustained during the crash.

Troopers began investigating the fatality crash shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Louisiana 308 in Lafourche Parish.

The investigation revealed Rounds was driving a 2012 Chevrolet south on Louisiana 308, and, for unknown reasons, traveled off the right side off the roadway as the vehicle was negotiating a right hand curve on Louisiana 308.

“After leaving the roadway, the Traverse struck a ditch and a fence pole, causing the vehicle to flip end over end,” Harrell said. “As the Traverse was flipping, it struck a 2006 Dodge truck that was parked before coming to rest.

“Rounds, who was not properly restrained, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.”

The victim was taken the hospital, where she died, authorities said.

Impairment is unknown, and toxicology tests are pending.
