Noemie Borne Tastet, 76 of LaPlace and a native of Wallace passed away on April 8, 2015.

She was the beloved wife of C.J. Tastet; devoted mother of Melanie Tastet Ford (Tim); daughter of the late Noe and Augustine Schnexnayder Borne; and proud grandmother of Julie Ford Randolph (Nathan) and Daniel J. Ford.

Tastet worked as a secretary at Laura Plantation in Vacherie. She thoroughly enjoyed her time at Laura, which celebrated her Creole Heritage.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy. in LaPlace on Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m.

Visitation is from noon to 2:00 p.m.  Inurnment is in St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Raceland.
