Mark “Booga,” 67, Poche’ passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his residence in Paulina.

He was born in Hester.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Kim LeBlanc Poche’; his three children: Nathan Poche’ (Kelly), Marty Poche’ (Alison), and Janell Chenier (Keith).

He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Chelsea, Tiffanie, Payton, Kristen, Zack, Emily and Jessi. He is also survived by one brother, Douglas Poche’.

Poche’ was preceded in death by his father, Mark Poche’, his mother Enola Roussel Poche’ and five brothers and one sister: Harris, Elwood, Warren, Larry, Barry and Jewel.

Booga worked for Brown & Root for over 18 years, then left and returned to Kaiser Aluminum as a General Maintenance worker. Kaiser sold out to Noranda Alumina and he retired there in 2014.

He was also a former Commodore of the St. James Boat Club, a member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Lutcher Quarterback Club and a former avid fisherman of the Tri-Parish Fishing Club.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Lynn Funeral Home and will resume at the funeral home from 9 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by a Mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Convent at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in the St. Michael’s cemetery.
