LAPLACE — Police say a woman broke into a LaPlace catering company and set off the alarm while eating some of the establishment’s food.

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said deputies responded to Duhe’s Cajun & Creole Cravin’s, 407 E. Airline Highway in LaPlace, at 11:20 p.m. Thursday following a fire alarm activation.

Deputies did not find a fire, but instead discovered Reisha Robertson, 29, of LaPlace, in the business, Tregre said.

“After she made entry in the catering business, Robertson helped herself to food in the business,” he said. “Nothing other than the eaten food was reported missing. Investigators believe that Robertson accidentally pulled the fire alarm that alerted authorities.”

Robertson was booked with simple burglary, simple criminal damage to property and a fugitive warrant for Terrebonne Parish.

She remains in custody in lieu of a $13,000 bond. Robertson has been arrested five times in St. John the Baptist Parish since July 2007.
