LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish Government is reporting a current power outage impacting 1,128 residents in LaPlace as a result of a transformer fire.

At this time, streets impacted include Concord, Glendale, Linwood, Fairview, parts of Madewood, Carrollwood, East Lakeview Dr., Carmel Valley, Oak Tree, Highland, Hester, Longwood and parts of Fairway and Country Club.

Entergy is on the scene and working to restore power as soon as possible.

Power is estimated to be fully restored at 5 p.m.
