Residents and employees of the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Reserve were treated to the delightful sounds of the United States Air Force Band of the West’s Dimensions in Blue jazz ensemble Wednesday during a special performance at the facility.

Dimensions in Blue features 18 musicians from around the country who present big band jazz to audiences throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

Staff Sgt. Rachel Wilson, a Dimensions in Blue vocalist who performed a Billie Holiday medley Wednesday during the group’s hour-long performance, said the band focuses on various community outreaches throughout the year.

Guy Engolio, an Air Force veteran residing at the home, said he was excited to see the “top of the class” musicians performing in Reserve.
