LAPLACE — The American Legion and the New Ladies Auxiliary of Post 383 of LaPlace are holding a barbecue fundraiser to provide funding for their premiere youth program, Boys/Girls State, which is a weeklong program of state governmental education.

The fundraiser, sponsored by Supreme Ford of LaPlace, takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at LaPlace Ford on Belle Terre Boulevard.

Hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches and dinners will be ready for the public, along with soft drinks and snacks.
