Tracy Louque-Poche, 88, was born on Feb. 26, 1926, and passed away on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015.

She was a native of Paulina and resident of Lutcher.

Louque-Poche was the beloved wife of the late Newton “King Tut” Babin, Malvin “Shoon” Melancon, and Patrick Poche; and mother of Gregory Babin, Pamela Babin-Louque (David “Boo”), Peggy Melancon-Gautreaux (Corbin Paul), Greta Melancon, and Karl Melancon.

She was preceded by death by parents Carlo Louque and Emiliana Deslattes-Louque and siblings Logan Louque Sr., Bernice Louque, Murphy Louque, Philip Percy Louque, Melvin Louque, Earline Louque-Von Hassel, Priscilla Louque-Melancon, Herman Louque, Sherman Louque and Garfield Louque.

She is also survived by Lincoln Louque and Hudson Louque, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the German-Acadian Coast Historical & Genealogical Society. Visitation and funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 9 a.m. until Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory Street in Paulina.

Entombment will follow in the church cemetery mausoleum.
