Nemours ‘Nem’ Montz, right, a 96-year-old World War II veteran from LaPlace, became the 106th veteran of the U.S. Air Force’s 384th Bomb Group to sign a B-17 wing panel as part of a national project.

Nem was assisted Monday in the signing by his son Wayne Montz, center, as volunteer Mike Jerrell, left, filmed the occasion.
