Christmas came early Friday, when Santa Claus visited the 118 residents of Twin Oaks Nursing and Convalescent Home in LaPlace. Activities Director Theresa Brooks said the event has been held each year for at least the past 15 years. Brooks said residents, families, schools and churches donate gifts each year for Santa to give out to the residents, while families and friends share in the good times.
