Beginning Dec. 1, St. Charles Parish Library will be participating in Operation Santa Paws, an effort that seeks donated toys, treats, food and supplies for shelter dogs and cats.

All St. Charles Parish Library locations will be collecting items through Dec. 19. The donated items will be delivered to the St. Charles Humane Society in time for Christmas.

Operation Santa Paws seeks to improve the health and attitude of shelter pets, which increase the chances of the animals being adopted.
