Reserve resident Tyler Cambre, 12, boarded an airplane bound for Disney World at 3:10 p.m. Saturday after being granted a wish by the Louisiana State Police Troop B Children’s Grant-a-Wish Foundation.

Cambre, pictured in the center surrounded by his parents Keith and Kerrie and State Policemen, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2012.

He recently received encouraging medical news that a portion of the tumor has shrunk, and was cleared by his doctors to travel.

The Troop B Children’s Grant-A-Wish is sending Tyler and his parents to Disney World for a week-long vacation.

Troopers met Tyler outside of his religion class at St. Peter School in Reserve today to escort him and his parents to the airport.
