American Legion National Commander Michael Helm visited Louisiana during October. The welcoming committee from Post 383 of LaPlace attended ceremonies honoring his visit in Covington. Commander Helm is from Nebraska but told members of the post he enjoyed the local hospitality and food and is looking forward to a return visit.
