LAPLACE — For one month, Louisiana Federal Credit Union will hide envelopes containing $100 in St James, St John, St Charles and Tangipahoa parishes.

Clues to drop locations can be found on the Credit Union’s Facebook page.

When the cash is found, scavengers are asked to select a local charity of their choice, take a photo of their findings and post it to the Credit Union’s Facebook page using the hashtag #HIDEANDCU.

When the post is made, the Credit Union will donate $100 to the scavenger’s selected charity.

“The hidden cash concept spread like wildfire, and we’re happy to jump onboard,” said Mia Perez, chief administrative officer.

“Not only does the community benefit, but it’s an opportunity to pay it forward to some of our local charities as well.”
